After weeks of planning and general excitement, the day had finally arrived! The first photo shoot to launch our own collection of bridal dresses – ‘PINK CONFETTI – THE COLLECTION’ was finally coming to life!
With a car full of dresses, accessories and all things bridal, we arrived at our shoot location – Best Western Ullesthorpe Court Hotel, a jewel in the Leicestershire countryside, perfect wedding venue, golf course & spa –perfect for our first step into bridal design.
Our photographers, John & Mark from Reach Photography were already there, and being the professionals they are, with extensive photography kit to hand, they were already planning the best shots and light available.
Decamping to our dressing room for the day – the make up & hair preparation began on our two beautiful models, Isobel & Rebekah – who happen to be our daughters and it seemed a natural choice that they would represent our own label.
Our Collection is all about keeping it simple, beautiful & affordable, as we believe that this is something many brides-to-be are searching for; along with the opportunity to make their dress unique by adding or enhancing with straps, belts, appliques, brooches, buttons and sparkle – or just leave the dresses as they are – beautiful in their simplicity.
With a close eye on the ever changeable weather, we made the most of the beautiful surroundings and attempted to capture the essence of Ophelia, Portia, Isobel, Rebekah, Imogen & Rosalind – dresses that ooze simplicity, adaptability, classical lines & affordability. From fitted skirts to princess, flattering all shapes & sizes in silk, satin, taffeta, organza or lace – a little something for everyone we hope!
So after a long 13 hours, with petals, sparkles, golf buggy’s, lots of laughter & even some baby ducklings who wanted to share some of the limelight – the shoot was complete!! It was a long exciting, tiring day however it was a real pleasure to work with such professional people from all the staff in the hotel who looked after our every need to the guy’s from Reach Photography whose talent, energy & enthusiasm is infectious – thank you all!
We are aiming to launch the collection early in September and we can’t wait to unveil the finished images – unique to us & unique to you – so just watch this space and spread the word!
