We had a lovely break over Christmas (seems like an age away!) and it’s probably just as well that we did as we’ve entered 2013 like an express train!
This means we’ve barely had time to reflect on 2012 which was an amazing year – we met more beautiful brides than ever, were introduced to our first Pink Confetti Babies (can’t take all the credit!!), introduced two new fantastic designers and the year culminated in us being short listed by The Wedding Industry Awards as Best Bridal Retailer in the East Midlands!
Although we did not go on to win the Regional Award we were delighted to have been in the final four, especially as this decision was based on the feedback received from our brides over the previous 12 months. On ending our run in the competition we received copies of our bride’s comments (anonymously) and we were blown away when we read these!
When we started Pink Confetti in June 2010 we knew we wanted to create an environment for brides to feel valued, comfortable and to have a memorable experience that they would treasure! From the comments made it seems that we have somehow managed to achieve this!

All the comments made were amazing and these are just a few we’ve picked out – in fact we felt a bit humbled by the wonderful comments and the number of brides that took the time to fill in all this information when they voted for us.
Our lovely brides were also asked to score us across a range of measures and they did not let us down. We were thrilled with the scores – now the challenge is how to maintain and improve on these!

Refreshed after our short Christmas break we were straight into planning for the UK Wedding Show which took place last weekend. We were delighted to be back at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry for our 3rd year!
Back in 2011 this was our first big show (just 6 months after opening) and we must have looked like rabbits caught in headlights when we arrived! We filled our 3m x 3m stand to bursting, met fantastic people, had a brilliant time and were absolutely exhausted – loved it!
So back for the 3rd year we needed more space and this year had our biggest stand yet. As always, we try to recreate the boutique experience and (although at times we could have done with a stand three times bigger) we were delighted with the overall result.
After a long busy day on the Saturday meeting lots of wonderful people, we, of course, planned a restful evening and early night preparing ourselves for the next day!
Arriving on the stand next morning feeling a little jaded (the plans didn’t work!) we were concerned when we saw Bev & Katie from UK Wedding Show approaching us (surely we hadn’t been that bad the night before!). We were thrilled when they presented us with their ‘Outstanding Exhibitor Award’ – we love being at these events and this was just the icing on the cake and wonderful recognition for the fantastic Pink Confetti team that work so hard to make these events a success.
