A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of going along to the catalogue shoot for the gorgeous new bridal collection from Donna Lee Brides.

The venue was a large Victorian terrace in North London, a well-known location specifically designed for photographic and promotional use (Alan Carr had been using it the day before this shoot!).

The beautiful, themed and inspiring venue was a perfect backdrop for Donna’s fabulous, prolific new collection. Although I had gone along expecting to lend a hand, I hadn’t anticipated the sheer hard work involved in photographing around 30 dresses in 9 hours! Not helped by Donna having a car accident a couple of days before and having her hand in a splint!

Arriving at 8.30 the ‘crew’ set to work. The beautiful model Eleanor (Runner Up in episode 8 of Naomi Campell’s ‘The Face’) was in hair & make up; the photographer was sizing up the backgrounds and setting up for the shoot whilst Izzy (the location assistant) and I started steaming dresses (helped by the van driver Steve being a human clothes horse!) Perhaps not the glamorous occasion I’d anticipated.

Once into the swing though it was fantastic to see everyone pull together to create some amazing images. Here’s a snapshot of the crew in action!

The beautiful backdrop selected for he shoot was in the hallway of the house so a little tricky setting up the lighting and having space to manoeuvre!

First up the (thoroughly modern) Millie!

Eleanor looking gorgeous in the oh so glamorous Emily in champagne – also available in Ivory.

Alanis Alanis back

The simply stunning Alanis also available in Champagne & Ivory) – Eleanor’s favourite and pick of the day!

Just a small selection of some of the collection now available at Pink Confetti & although thoroughly exhausting it was a brilliant experience and I can’t wait to share the results in the next few weeks.
